Anger is natural, however it can be destructive when expressed inappropriately. Anger is an emotional state that may range from minor irritation to intense rage. Often times anger is a learned response. How did your family express emotions or deal with anger? Anger symbolically resembles that of an onion, there are different layers to anger. When someone gets angry, the outside layer of the onion is the anger. The layers behind the first layer may be disappointment, jealousy, hurt, frustration, or wide array of other emotions.

In counseling individuals with anger management difficulties, we develop a treatment plan that is tailored to the individual’s situation and needs. The goal in anger management counseling is to allow the person to communicate their feelings and get their needs met in healthy ways. If you or a loved one struggles with anger management, please call us today for an initial consultation at (720) 204-8747
