Christian Counseling is simply inviting the spiritual component into the counseling office. This is an opportunity where the spiritual dimension from a Christian perspective is examined in ones’ life along with the emotional, mental, and behavioral dimensions. As a Christian, Kelly is committed to Jesus Christ personally and professionally. Clients find Kellys’ style to be a healthy balance of accurate insight, active listening, and gentle confrontation. She practices biblical principles and is open to praying with her clients, reading scriptures, and practicing other forms of spiritual dialogue that are best suited for the individual client.
Kelly believes that the Bible has a great deal of practical insights about our identity, fears, relationships, family, and human suffering. Kelly utilizes this information in the counseling session to increase awareness and create solutions to help move the client in a positive direction. While Kelly Johnson resonates with the Christian world-view, she respects her client’s religious and cultural perspectives and welcomes all those in need.
